Powerful features. Seamless performance. Real impact.
The iMac G5 (2004–2006) introduced a clean, minimalist all-in-one design by integrating the entire computer behind a widescreen flat-panel display, delivering powerful performance in a slim, elegant form factor.
The iMac G5 was Apple’s first desktop where the entire computer was built directly behind the screen, a design concept that lives on in today’s iMacs. It marked the transition away from the dome-and-arm iMac G4 and toward a unified flat panel, cleaner, more modern, and efficient. Internally, the use of the PowerPC G5 processor brought desktop-class performance to an all-in-one form, making it ideal for creative pros, students, and families alike. It was also the last iMac to use PowerPC architecture before the Intel-based iMacs arrived in 2006.
